Oikos is proud to communicate that its new LxO collection designed by Daniel Libeskind has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2016; a special selection that enables it to take part in the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award.
Oikos has always collaborated with the great names of Italian and international architecture; to search for new chromomaterial ecosolutions than can reinterpret contemporaneity. This spirit led to the collaboration with the US architect, example of ongoing architectural innovation, giving life and body to the new colour palette of the LxO - Libeskind for Oikos collection.
LxO has 33 colour solutions in which - thanks to the special nuances - light and colour merge to give life to an extraordinary harmonic composition. A synopsis of master craftsmanship and industrial production for sustainable architecture presented in a unique editorial project representing an original mix between matter and colour, substance and design.
The jury’s choice was also based on the special collection presentation: a colour orography reinterpreting the natural erosion process of canyons, and in which colours become three-dimensional, summing and subtracting themselves based on complex geometries typical of the language of the famous US architect.
The 2016 edition of the ADI Design Index was presented in an exhibition with a dual location, Milan and Rome. In Milan, at Palazzo dei Giureconsulti until 11 October and in Rome in the Sala Appia of the former Cartiera Latina open to the public from 28 October to 1 November.
